Shane Warne will play in Jaipur : Lalit Modi
IPL commissioner Lalit Modi rubbished reports that Rajasthan Royals` skipper Shane Warne, along with teammates Shane Watson and Graeme Smith, was quitting the tournament due to the bomb blasts in Jaipur. The trio was already on its way to the Pink City, for the next match there, he said. "All Australian players and the team is now going to play in Jaipur tomorrow. We are looking forward to it. Yes, they were little bothered, but now they are assured. They are on their way to the city," Modi said.
Modi said that hightened security measures would be in place at the Sawai Mansingh stadium during IPL matches. “No bags, bottles and lighters will be allowed into the stadium. Everybody will be frisked while entering in, and going leaving the stadium. The players will be completely cordned off, and nobody will have access to them,” Modi said. Rajasthan royals will take on Bangalore Royal Challengers in a home encounter this Saturday.Earlier in the day, there were been reports that the trio of Warne, Watson, Smith and team manager Darren Berry ‘are very scared after the incident and are refusing to return to Jaipur. They were apparently even considering leaving India altogether.
