Chargers fight Superkings in their den
Languishing at the bottom of the table - Hyderabad need a victory badly to keep their chances alive. And against Chennai who have lost their last two games, they will fancy their chances.
The Deccan Chargers may be described as the unstoppables in their promotional campaigns but they have been stopped far too often in their tracks already. Five times out of 6 games in the tournament, so do the Chargers need to re-think their tactics? Not really; says their under-fire captain.
"I think the team composition is good. It is just that we have lost some close games and now we have to come out and go strongly against each and every team we are playing," said VVS Laxman.
The Chennai Super Kings too seem to have lost some of their early momentum. In Jaipur on Sunday they were dismissed for a paltry 109 and couldn't even bat out their whole quota of overs.
Clearly, Dhoni's outfit is finding it hard to overcome the loss of Matthew Hayden, Michael Hussey and Jacob Oram who have left on national duty.
"Obviously, we are going to miss the guys who have left. They are all good players and they were a part of our strategy. But we have got some good players who have come into the side and it is just a matter of establishing with the new players and then we should be back to where we need to be," said Chennai coach, Kepler Wessels.
