Its going to kick start with a big flair and colour in Bangalore on 18th of April. Many believe, IPL might just change the way, Cricket is played. Its a new kid on the block and after all that hype, the cricket is gonna be played amidst anxious fans.

There will be a sensational contest between Kolkata Knight Riders and Bangalore Royal Challengers at the Chinnaswamy Stadium .Former captains of India Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly are leading the teams of Bangalore Royal Challengers and Kolkata Knight Riders, respectively.Great cricket stars like Chris Gayle and Shivnarine Chanderpaul of the West Indies, Nathan Baracken and David Hussey of Australia, Mark Boucher and Jaques Kallis of South Africa and others will be seen in action in this inaugural match of the IPL.

Its the first match of the IPL tournament and has created lots of expectations.Critics still vouch for Test cricket but this is purely entertainment and the 8 teams are all raring to go.The teams seem to be equally matched and the cup in the inaugural tournament beckons them.

Together with the glamour of Bollywood, a new style of sports and entertainment will take place at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The opening ceremony will be a blend of fireworks, stilt walkers, aerial gymnasts, performers in a bubble and some Bollywood glitter with the presence of Shah Rukh Khan, also the co-owner of the Kolkata team, and Preity Zinta, co-owner of the Mohali franchise.
