May11,2008,Hyderabad.Saurav Ganguly leads from the front with a stunnig performance with the bat and ball against Deccan Chargers.He scored 91 runs from 57 balls which has 5 boundaries over the rope.Ganguly shared two vital partnership,one with Aakash Chopra and other one with David hussey.These two partnerships helps Kolkata go past 200 runs.It was actually a poor performance by the Chargers with the ball and also with their fielding.Ganguly took his time to reach his 50 ,then it was a firing blows over the ground.David hussey too joined the party and he smashed 3 sixes.Chargers need a terget of 205 runs to win.Though Gibbs fell early ,Gilchrist was attacking but it was short lived.Gul took Teja's wicket in his very first ball.Ganguly came and bowled beautifully.He took 2 wickets giving away 25 runs in his 4 over spell. Venugopal Rao smashed a 42 ball 71,that cause some trouble for Knight riders,but Kolkata bowlers ensured a comfartable win.Ganguly was named Man of the Match for his all round performance.
