A South African businessman found hundreds of thousands of rands in a Port Elizabeth beachfront hotel room that had been occupied by the manager of the Australian cricket team.But the money turned out to belong to Kings XI Punjab — whose players include Australian Brett Lee, Indian Yuvraj Singh and Sri Lankan Mahela Jayawardene — who had stayed in the hotel at the same time as the Australians.

The money, which was their allowances for food, drinks and other expenses, in that room as they had been using it for team meetings ahead of their IPL campaign.Kings XI Punjab management confirmed yesterday that the mystery stash was theirs.
