Mumbai bolstered by Sachin's participation against Chennai Superkings
The last time the two sides met the Mumbai Indians lost by a margin of six runs in one of the more gripping encounters of the IPL. Back then the Chennai Super Kings were sitting pretty at the top of the table while Mumbai, minus Sachin Tendulkar, were trying to work out a winning combination.
Now,Despite having two extra games in hand, Mumbai need at least five victories from their remaining seven games to earn a semi-final berth while Chennai need two wins from five games to qualify. Both sides have the momentum so it will be a case of who blinks first.
Today, Sachin Tendulkar, is back. That was what the Mumbai camp and also the whole of India, was looking forward to.Tendulkar is banking on Sanath Jayasuriya to give the Mumbai Indians a cutting edge in spin bowling in their IPL clash against Chennai Super Kings Wednesday.
“ Sanath got important wickets in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (at the Eden Gardens). Sanath will be a key bowler,” Tendulkar said on the match-eve.
“ Sanath got important wickets in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (at the Eden Gardens). Sanath will be a key bowler,” Tendulkar said on the match-eve.
It is unfair to expect Tendulkar the batsman to hit form after weeks of rest and rehab, nor will the Chennai Super Kings bowlers allow him the breathing space to get into groove in Wednesday’s tie at the Wankhede Stadium.
On the other side,Chennai does not have any plans of changing the batting order at the top. “Stephen Fleming and S. Vidyut are playing well, Suresh Raina is getting runs at number three,” coach Kepler Wessles of the CSK.
Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar will be the key for their respective sides. Also, its going to be Sachin vs Murali, this particular contest will be just awesome to watch.
So, get ready for some slam-bang action at the wankhede, this wednesday evening.
