Former Indian cricketer and KSCA Secretary Brijesh Patel has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Patel steps in for Charu Sharma, who resigned from the CEO’s post.
A press release from the Royal Challengers Sports Pvt. Ltd, the franchise holder of the team, stated, “Royal Challengers Sports Pvt. Ltd, has announced that Brijesh Patel has taken over as the CEO of the company as Charu Sharma steps down due to personal reasons. Royal Challengers team acknowledges his contribution and wishes him luck in his future endeavours.”
Rumours about a top-level change of guard was doing the rounds since Tuesday evening.
Brijesh Patel as well as Charu Sharma were not available for comment.
Meanwhile the team, struggling with four points from seven matches, is all set to play Knight Riders on May 8.
